What this service is

Equipment Rental Compare is an introduction service. We pass hirers' enquiries to independent rental companies. We are not a rental company, we own no machines, and any contract for a hire is between you and the company that contacts you. Check a company's insurance and the machine's condition before you take delivery.

How we are paid

Rental companies may pay us for qualified enquiries. This never changes what you pay, and no company can pay to alter the establishment index, which names no companies and is published by the Census Bureau.

The establishment index

The index pages report the Census Bureau's County Business Patterns counts of rental establishments per county at NAICS 532412 and 532310, for the reference year shown. It counts locations rather than companies and it names none of them. It is not a directory and it is not a recommendation.

No warranty

The site is provided as-is. We work to keep the index accurate to its stated source and reference year, and we make no warranty about the outcome of any hire.
