What happens if I return equipment late?
You are billed for the extra period at the applicable rate, and the yard may charge from the day the hire was due rather than the day you called. If you know you will overrun, extend before the return date, because extending is normally cheaper than being caught over.
Do I have to take the damage waiver?
It is optional at most counters and it is not insurance. It caps what you owe for accidental damage and typically excludes theft from an unsecured site, misuse and overturning. If your own policy already covers hired in plant, bring the certificate; if it does not, the line is worth what it removes.
Can I rent equipment without a business account?
